Hello friends!
Here are some resources (many local) that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home.
Here is a sample day schedule if you need help getting organized. If you are cleaning out here is a list of where to recycle, consign or donate to make a difference. {We are updating the below resources often.}
We made you a neighborhood scavenger hunt:
Travel from your table
Inspired by local mom Katy F. we have been traveling a few times a week. Check out how here. GlobalGrub is another easy option. They offer kits shipped to you door for fun culinary experiences like making fortune cookies, sushi, tamales, ravioli and more.
Foster a Dog
Foster a dog from Big Dog Ranch – that will keep everyone calm! You can check the dogs out lone and fill out an application then pick them up with drive through service.
Subscription Boxes
Raddish Kids is so empowering and fun. Bonus, your kids are learning how to prepare nutritious food. Each box contains a cooking tool, badge for their apron, shopping list, recipes and activities. Each kit has a corresponding homeschool curriculum if that is helpful. Use codes ATHOME or Chef20 for $15 off 6 months and $20 off 12 months. Life hack – teach your kids to cook for you!
Kiwi Co is another great subscription. This one my 8 year old does unassisted (the younger ones let me help!). They have options for literally every age (0-104!) They are on a mission to inspire the next generation of innovators and in our house – mission accomplished.
Under Blue Waters is a great local option that can ship anywhere. Known for their great outdoor adventure camps – they also do amazing at home adventure kits. We loved learning about the sun and how sound travels under water.
Fold in a little fun
Using compostable, corn-based plastic, Cubles are a different type of toy and brain-powering activity. When your child is done playing with his or her Cuble, it’s 100 percent recyclable. For every tree used to make Cubles, the brand donates to OneTreePlanted.org to plant 100 more! What’s more creative than a kid putting together a t-rex or panda? From start to finish, Cubles are designed, printed, and manufactured in Minnesota.
Cubles are fun for all ages but please note the ability to assemble varies by motor skills and age. Get Cubles delivered right to your door.

Activity Kit where you meet a “buddy” from around the world
Kravis is offering a front row seat in your home to an exciting lineup.
- Soap Powered Boat: children can learn about surface tension and how water molecules are attracted to one another and have the ability to hold themselves together, especially at the surface.
- Balloon Hovercraft: using a blank CD, bottle cap, balloon and tape, children can see how the air from the balloon passes through the cap, creates a higher air pressure below the CD than above it, lifts the hovercraft allowing it to glide smoothly, with almost no friction!
- Bottle Barometer (Homemade barometer to tell the weather): using just water in a bowl, a medium-sized clear bottle, cardstock, scissors, tape and markers, you can make your own barometer to measure atmospheric pressure, to give a clue about what is going on with the weather.
