Meet The Mom - Victoria - Palm Beach Moms

Name:
Victoria Selcuk

Where did you grow up:
In France and went to boarding school in Switzerland

Town you live in now:
PBG

Why you love living there:
After spending 17 years in NYC we decided to move in Florida. We loved the outdoors, and people are so nice here!

Tell me about your kids:
Jack is 8 years old and Sienna is 6 years old but still likes to go to NYC to see the city life and the big buildings.

Favorite things to do with the kids locally:
Juno beach on Sunday is a tradition for us. We also like the recreation parks, go fishing and enjoy the outdoors.

What’s your ‘day job’? How did you get started with it?
About a year ago I realized that there was nothing to prevent the burning sand on the beach. Flip flop didn’t make it. So usually we were wearing socks to the beach. This is when the idea came up to me to make a water shoe that is easy to swim with and walk on the hot sand. My day consist of taking the kids to school, go to the gym and then start working on Palm Beachies orders, email and everything else. I pick the kids up from school and we go to after school activities, set up diner and only allow myself to work for 1h after they go to bed.

What is your best parenting advise. Lay it on us.
Listen to your kids.
At the same time explain to them what is important in life. We also never allow electronics or TV during diner time. We need to talk about our day.

What do you do for self care?
I like going to the gym. When Soulcycle was in town I was going there almost everyday. I am not a Spa girl and don’t really like the pampering stuff
