We bring THE CAMP to the safety of YOUR backyard. All activities, equipment, materials, and supervision are provided by Baseball Yogis. South Florida Science Center UPDATED
Palm Beach County Parents, rejoice! The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium has announced summer camps are in session!
Virtual Camps are happening now for those 7-12 with a transition to in-person camps June 22.
For the virtual camps, families will be able to safely pick up Camp-in-a-Box which holds most the supplies needed for the amazing at-home experiments. June 8-12 will be called Get Amped and teaches the science of music with lessons on sound waves and basics of music theory. In My Backyard runs June 15-19 and will explore Florida’s ecosystems.
These lessons are split into two age groups, 7-9 and 10-12 with one-hour lessons. These camps are $75 for nonmembers and $70 for members and will be offered over Zoom.
In-person camps offer something for everyone! From anatomy to space and chemical reactions to coding, the kids will find something they love. The dates run June 22 to August 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The costs range from $255 to $305 with discounts for members. Before and aftercare will not be available this summer.

Junior Marine Biologist Summer Camp
Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s summer camp programs are interactive, educational and stimulating. Each camp is geared towards children ages 6* through 17. Students participating in the Jr. Marine Biologist summer camp program will gain an understanding of various nature-related topics such as (but not limited to) ecology and marine biology, with an emphasis on conservation. Lion Country Safari Day Camp 2020
Safari Day Camp 2020 allows campers ages 6-12 to learn about wildlife and wild places in a fun yet educational way. Cost includes daily lunch and snack, a T-shirt, cap, and water bottle, admission, and all activities. Price is $290.00 per week, per camper; a $20 per week discount is given for annual passholders, and a $10 per week discount is available for campers who are registered by mid-March, 2019. Camp is offered Monday-Friday from 9:30am – 4:30pm on the following weeks, and extended care is available for an additional charge from 8:00-9:30am or 4:30-5:30pm:

Lighthouse Art Center
This is the Lighthouse ArtCenter’s 50th year providing quality summer fun for ages 6-12.
Kids rotate through four different art classrooms each day, spending time with professional artists working in mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, digital animation and character development. During this Super Summer, they are surrounded by an art exhibition filled with 2D and 3D works created by expert puppeteers and animation engineers at the gallery!
On Friday of each week, they take home their wonderful creations.

Choose Your Own Adventure! Virtual Script Building and Performance Class with Stefanie Anarumo, for ages 9-12

Have you ever wanted to travel on a rocket ship to outer space? What about ride an elephant through the jungle? Or dive deep down into the ocean and explore some underwater caves? Over the course of a week, students will collaborate and choose their own adventure while learning the basics of theater performance. Students will work together on Zoom to write, design, and perform an original script inspired by one of three themes: an outer space adventure, a jungle safari adventure, or an underwater adventure. This class is designed for artists 9-12 years old who are ready to create, imagine, and collaborate! Miss Stefanie is a recent graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education where she holds a Master’s in Arts in Education. She is a professional actor, director, educator, and Fulbright Research Scholar.
What a Character! with Niki Fridh, for ages 9-12

Become a Character Detective and learn how to find the clues to create a real person on the stage. Niki Fridh, a multiple award-winning actress based in South Florida, leads this fun and educational class. Students will be expected to spend time in between classes observing animals and people and collecting other clues to create an interesting and believable character.
Bring Down the House Music Production Class with Chris Denny, for ages 12 and up

How do you produce music? What’s the science behind new sounds and musical styles? Get ready to learn in this exciting songwriting and music production class! Professional music performer, audio engineer, song writer and music producer, Chris Denny will teach you how songs are made by deconstructing and rebuilding a hit song– using a completely free music program. By the end of the week, you’ll have the insight and skills to start creating your own original material. Who knows? You might be the next up-and-coming artist to change the world of music as we know it.
Dance it Out! In Musical Theater Dance with Lindsay Bell, for ages 13-18

Lindsay Bell is a dancer, actor, singer and choreographer who has performed, toured and choreographed at many prestigious theaters and stadiums in America and Canada! She provides an active and engaging Musical Theater dance class where you will not only focus on dance technique, but students will explore various dance styles used in Broadway shows. The students will get to train and refine their performance skills, all while paying special attention to connecting to the audience and telling the story through movement and emotion. This class is perfect for the young performing artist who wants to further their passion and talent for the stage!
* Students can sign-up for one week of virtual classes within a specific discipline for $100 or they can register for all four weeks for $400. Any child can participate ranging from elementary to high school students. The coaching classes will be done one-on-one via the Zoom platform and are $65 per one hour of coaching.
