Meet the Mom - Gilda Green - Palm Beach Moms

Name: Gilda Green

Where did you grow up: Palm Beach Gardens, Fl

Town you live in now: Palm Beach Gardens, Fl

Why you love living there: It’s like living on vacation!!!

Tell me about your kids: We have 2 crazy, fun loving boys. Topher is 11, he’s intelligent, witty, tender hearted and a great athlete.  Tristan is 6 and is my tornado child (does everyone have one?) he is hilarious, boisterous, full of energy, smart and in his own words “loves to push buttons”!

Favorite things to do with the kids locally: Fishing, going to the beach, bowling, going to the driving range, swimming in our pool and going to Gelato Grotto for our favorite treat!

What’s your ‘day job’?  How did you get started with it? I own and help operate Burn Boot Camp Stuart and, coming this fall, Burn Boot Camp Jupiter! My gyms are the result of a dream to start a business that impacted women physically, emotionally and mentally. Inspired by my faith, I do this by fostering a life-giving fitness community where women support one another and push through their doubts, obstacles and insecurities together to achieve transformative results. Our offering also provides all our mamas with excellent complimentary ChildWatch services while they workout and nutritional guidance to help them achieve their goals. Burn provides everything a woman needs to succeed when it comes to her health and fitness ALL under one roof for one all-inclusive price!

In addition, I am partnered with the leading global mental wellness company, Amare. After our youngest son received an ADHD and DCD diagnosis at the age of 3, we were desperately searching for holistic solutions that could help him with his outbursts, hyperactivity, social anxiety and defiance. Amare gut brain axis products changed Tristan’s life and our family’s life forever. He is now 6 and thriving in school and life!

What is your best parenting advice.  Lay it on us.  Be slow to speak and quick to listen, make gratitude a daily family posture and pray often as a family. Our daily practice of coming together to pray over our needs, problems, dreams, desires, country, leaders and others has been transformative for our family. Even if it’s just a bedtime prayer, there is enormous power in praying as a family.

What do you do for self care? I start every day with a “Power Hour”. This is a practice my amazing friend and life coach, Brooke Thomas, taught me and it has given me more peace and clarity in life as well as improved my attitude and performance. As soon as I wake up every morning (which is usually around 5am) I spend 30 minutes reading my Bible or a daily devotional, followed by prayer and gratitude. I then spend an additional 30 minutes listening to a motivating personal development, leadership and/or business podcast. Starting my day in the Word, in prayer and listening to positive and motivating high performers sets the tone for the rest of my day! This power hour practice coupled with my daily Burn workouts and wholefood clean eating (80% of the time 😊)  has me feeling better in my 40s than I ever did in my 20s and 30s.
