Meet the Mom - Kerri P - Palm Beach Moms

Kerri Paizzi (but my Facebook alias is Kerri Anne) lol

Where did you grow up:
Jericho, NY (Long Island)

Town you live in now:
Hobe Sound

Why you love living there:
I moved here from NY to Jupiter 9 years ago and then a little further north 4 years ago. I love the whole span of Jupiter to Stuart because of the down to earth, sweet people in the area that are my colleagues and friends. Plus there’s tons to do!

Tell me about your kids:
One almost 8 year old boy, Jack. He is an old soul and keeps me on my toes. Right now he’s really into science, the solar system and Mario.

Favorite things to do with the kids locally:
Maybe not “local“ but super attainable which is another reason I love where we live: Mounts Botanical Gardens in PBG and McKee Botanical Gardens Vero are two favorites. Universal Studios is easy to get to.
I’m a huge fan of the new Brightline (use code PBMOM for 25% off) which can bring us right to a ballgame at Marlins stadium or to the Frost Museum. Constitution Park is our favorite local park. We love being on the water whether it be beach or boat, or swimming.

What’s your ‘day job’? How did you get started with it?
Which one? Lol I wear many hats. I own Monarch Marketing and Design which specializes in Web Design, Social Media and marketing consulting. I also work for Pantelides PR as the Public Relations Account Executive. Additionally I book local bands at bars and restaurant in the area because I love music. I’ve always enjoyed meeting people and making connections, it’s just in my blood. I love to see people succeed so I guess that’s how it all started.

What is your best parenting advise. Lay it on us.
Don’t be their friend, be their parent. Be their protector. Teach then how to be a good human being and to be kind to others. Lead by example because they are always watching. Aways listen to what they have to say and respect them, as children can teach us so much.

What do you do for self care?
Massages and facials are a must and mommy getaways a few times a year. Even if it’s a weekend you need time to rejuvenate, it will make you a better mom to be destressed and refreshed.
