Holiday Gift Guide 2018 - Palm Beach Moms

We love giving gifts, it means you have someone to give them to which is really a great joy in itself.  Multiply that when you know the recipient will really enjoy what you have in store for them.  Our priorities besides trying for something they will appreciate are always experiential, eco friendly, and local supporting!

We have something for everyone(mom, dad, teachers, helpers, neighbors, young and older children) in all kinds of budgets in this first annual gift guide.  Below you will find items divided into kids, Dad, Mom, and Special Friends (like those amazing hard working teachers, caregivers, neighbors and so on).

The kiddos of course

Shoppe 561 in West Palm Beach offers items made in the USA or by marginalized women around the world.   A wide variety of products from Eeboo, a woman owned and run company are perfect for the younger set.  All high quality educational games that are just plain fun and many are Oppenhiem award winners.

Prim and Pure products that local mom of 3 Kelli Jackson created are fun and safe beauty products for all ages.  We think they make the perfect stocking stuffer for fans of dress up.

A pass or membership to the Palm Beach Zoo is the gift that keeps on giving.

We love the Brightline and think a day spent together traveling to Ft Lauderdale or Miami for some fun would make the perfect gift.

Sparkle Snack bags perfect for girls of any age ($10 each or 2 for $18)  from OneWorldZeroWaste.
Lil’ Rapunzels is easy to call ahead or just swing by and they will help you choose the perfect gift and wrap it for you.  They have clothes and trinkets for the Tween set (at the Rapunzels location) and its stuff they will actually like, which feels like a miracle in itself.  Easy!
We also love a bicycle, movie passes, bowling vouchers, Lion Country Safari tickets, membership to the South Florida Science Museum or a turtle adoption from Loggerhead Marine Life.  For friends far away Nat Geo Kids magazine (they have something for all ages) is a thoughtful gift.  Subscription boxes like Little Passports (a different country highlighted each mailing) or KidBox (clothing) are also great and you can choose by age.  Fairy Tales on Parade by Judy Dam for precious hand made Fairy Tale themed clothing.  Books make great gifts too!

Shoppe 561 has a wide variety of men’s products to include wood inlay journals, money clips, bottle openers as well as whiskey sticks that age your whiskey 5-10 years in 24 hours (that our Dads tested and they say it works!) and cool utility tools that fit in a man’s wallet.

These great MV dopp kits are just $25 including a locally hand painted monogram.

OneWorld ZeroWaste water proof snack bags and a mini to go set with stainless steel straw and spork made from reclaimed wood. Boys and fishermen take them with you into the wilderness! Bags $10 or 2 for $18 togo bag $12

Dads like spa treatments too!  A night at the Palm Beach improv.  Or fishing trips on the Blue Heron fishing fleet.  A card promising a date day moving feast style – start at Coyo Taco for a margarita and taco, then to Honor Bar to share some duo dip, then off you go to Master Somellier Virginia Philip Wine shop for a sip of something…  over to Cucina…  you get the idea.  Always a blast, never gets returned.

In our family we also give Dad 3 backpacks filled with items that are helpful for homeless people.  He usually gives them out driving home from Christmas Eve with the family.  The kids love helping fill them and when possible seeing him give them out.  (We will talk more about this on out December Checklist post, coming soon)

We know something mom wont return – a 6 month membership to Coopers Hawk Winery and Restaurant in The Palm Beach Gardens Mall.  You can sit indoors or out at this lovely restaurant, or do some wine tasting at the bar.  With a 6 month membership she gets a bottle a month for the 6 months.  Tell her to go enjoy with girlfriends, date night, or she can parouse the mall then swing by and claim her bottle.  The gift that keeps on giving!

Shoppe 561 does it again with their Shine Hope Collection benefitting Place of Hope (a great local cause if you aren’t already familiar) that is brand new this month.  Lots of fun choices for Mom.

Sakara Life makes healthy eating delicious and easy.  The detox bars taste like dessert and having the premade meals delivered… heaven.

Boho Garden Crowns can arrange for a special custom bouquet to be delivered.  These aren’t your average floral delivery..this is what boho floral dreams are made of! Boho Floral crowns + events makes each magical arrangement custom + unique to your boho dreams desire! Inquire for pricing lists for arrangements and bouquets. All floral creations are available for delivery. Delivery is $15 within the city of WPB. $20 for Stuart/delray/Boca raton.  Have a budget in mind, and don’t want to be stuck with a vase? Custom wrapped bouquets are also great gifts to give! She will make it extra special for you to place right into a vase of your own!

The beautiful candle, diffuser, Pucci and stunning earrings above are all from Serenella in The Royal Poinciana Plaza.  They are the perfect people to help you choose a gift for the Mom who has everything.  My mother in law will be getting the candle this year.

A night on the town!   Dinner at The Regional and a show at The Kravis Theater – yes please!  If you want extra points, arrange for the sitter or send her to get her hair done.  A ride on the Palm Beach bike trail and lunch at Coyo Taco would be another fun way to spend the day.  Great for you last minute gifters.  Just jot it down in a card with some word from the heart and you are set.  (You can rent bikes and get the tasties tacos at The Royal, park your car there and head right to the bike trail.)   I can guarantee you that Moms love spa days.

How about a full utensil bag to eliminate the use of plastic cutlery ($30) and straws with a matching snack bag ($10) with water proof liner. Perfect for conscientious people on the go.  Both from OneWorldZeroWaste.  You can shop their store in Jupiter, at the Palm Beach Gardens Green Market, or online.  (We love visiting with them at the Gardens green market, where we get most of our bulk items in our own containers too!)  Spoiler alert my book club girls are all getting this.

Personally, this hat from local artisan Mariella Vilar is at the top of my list until its on top of my head.  So cute right?  Hurry up and order so you can have it in time.  If you don’t order in time, Rapunzels keeps some of her items in stock along with lots of other things Mom would enjoy.

Special friends (caretakers, teachers, host/hostess gifts, etc)

A Boho Garden bouquet is always nice to walk into a party with.  And how bout that cute Palm Beach cap for an out of towner?

We love this personalized pineapple cutting board for a hostess gift from MV.  (Double check her delivery timelines).  MV also has great personalized makeup bags for $16 including monogram.

Shoppe 561 has these great Shower Bursts giving you the aromatherapy benefits usually found only in bath bombs. Your shower and bathroom will be filled with a glorious scent and each burst gives you 3-4 showers.  We shower tested the eucalyptus ones and they are Palm Beach Moms approved!  Perfect for a teacher or host gift.

Hand-painted plantable cards from OneWorldZeroWaste make a great hostess or teacher gift.  Plant the whole card and it grows wild flowers $6.50.  Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!
We also love gift cards to PGA National Spa…  with just a massage they can enjoy a day by their Waters of the World mineral pools, steam room, sauna, hot tub and more.  Great for a group gift too, reach out now so you can plan it.

We wish you the very happiest of Holidays with time well spent with the ones you love most.
