Couples Staycation - The Brazilian Court - Palm Beach Moms

With all the quality family time in 2020, my hubby and I were craving couples time.  The place to go for unplugging and reconnecting is The Brazilian Court.  Since opening on New Years Day in 1926, it has been a popular haven on the island.

The Brazilian Court unveiled a comprehensive update in 2019.  Overall it honors the 1920s design but with modern comforts and a fresh take.  Cafe Boulud, under the James Beard Award nominee, Chef Daniel Boulud was welcomed in as the restaurant partner in 2003 and has been a steady favorite of locals and guests.

From check in to check out we felt so at home.  The staff welcomes you graciously and the layout of the property generously offers as much privacy as you desire.

After checking in and we got settled in our gorgeous room.  Plenty of closet space, comfy bed, great bathroom with good water pressure and temperature  (small baths with no water pressure or lack of hot water are my pet peeves).  Fun fact: I did my college internship for Hospitality and Marketing at the Brazilian Court.  I am a STICKLER for good service and clean rooms.  They did not disappoint!

After getting settled we strolled over to Worth Avenue.  I wanted to show my hubby some new styles at Stubbs and Wooten, got the kids holiday outfits at Spring Flowers, and we enjoyed window shopping and people watching.  Did you know Worth Avenue is named after the same General Worth of Lake Worth and Fort Worth Texas?  It is also where Addison Mizner called home for much of his life.

Headed back to the hotel for a late lazy lunch by the pool.  Cafe Boulud delivered to my lounge chair?  Ok, twist my arm.

After making a wish in the wishing well in the north courtyard of the hotel we strolled out for a dinner.  There are so many amazing options within walking distance.  Buccan and Imoto are two of our favorites.

On the way home you can just stroll in through the courtyard if you don’t feel like visiting or enjoy a nightcap at the lobby bar.  You will feel like you live there.

Sleep in if you can.  Then, a MUST for a couples staycation is breakfast in bed.  Somehow it just tastes better in bed!  Coming from Cafe Boulud doesn’t hurt either!  Watch the news instead of cartoons and stay in your pajamas.

We will be back soon!
